FAS Presentation

The following is a presentation on FAS that you may use to educate your community. It was developed through a grant from the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, and is made available for use by professionals and lay persons. (Permission information here.)

This presentation was developed by Dr. Ed Riley, a leading research scientist in the field of FAS disorders. It includes photos of the brain, including Dr. Clarren's brain comparison and Dr. Riley's own photos of MRI's from his studies. The presentation also includes notes that you may read that explain each slide. A lecture using the slides and notes will last approximately 50 minutes.

The presentation is available in PDF format, so you may print them and make transparancies for overhead presentation or slides. It is also available in Powerpoint format for state-of-the-art presentations. You may edit the presentation to fit your local needs.
