Look Who's In Jail!

Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder:
A lifelong sentence

This 6-year-old girl has a Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Disorder (FASD). She will need structure and support services for the rest of her life. Without early identification and intervention, many children with FASD will end up in jail before they are adults.

It is estimated that 25%-50% of persons in the criminal justice system suffer brain damage due to alcohol exposure before they were born.

Cost for one year in juvenile treatment center: $54,000
Cost for one year in specialized foster care home: $9,000

Give the next generation the freedom to grow up healthy and independent. Prevent FASD. If you are pregnant, don't drink. If you drink, don't get pregnant.
