Words aren’t needed to express the love between these two. My name is Mauda-kae Marie Morris. My name is special because I am named after some other people. Mauda, was my Great Grandma's name, kae is my momma's middle name, and Marie is my grandma's and my birth mom's middle name.
I live with my Momma, Kim, and my kitty "Nala". I have a really nice father figure, Cliff, that I see often. I call him Daddy.
I just turned 5 years old on December 2nd. I go to an integrated pre-school 4 days a week for 3 hours a day. I like school much better this year because I can relax because my Momma is at home waiting for me when I get off the bus instead of at work.
I LOVE horses.Cats and dogs are nice too. Momma says I'll probably grow up and be a Veterinarian, cause I like animals so much. Maybe 'cause they're easier for me than people. I take Equine therapy once a week for 1 hour. My momma says it is a good thing we don't have a barn or I'd live out there with my horse. I don't have a horse of my own YET, but I know one day I will. My favorite horse at therapy is Ringo. He's all white, and about my age. We are very close. We can both be having a rough day and when we are together, everything is OK. He's been sick, so I didn't get to ride him as much as I would have liked. We are done for the winter, but I still go to the stables and see the horses. The picture of me on the red horse was taken Dec 18th of this year. Her name is Easy. She's a nice horse, and belongs to the owner of the stables. Its pretty neat, 'cause I'm the only person other than Miss Deb who gets to ride her.
I love Barbie, Dora,Sponge Bob, and art. Especilly drawing with markers. I don't get to use my markers alone anymore tho' because I autographed the couch and drew on the drapes in the livingroom. Now Momma says an adult MUST sit with me when I use them. OOPS !
Lately I've been having a lot of problems. I cry and scream alot, lash out at momma or my kitty "Nala" when I get upset, I hate being in crowded places, like the grocery store or Wal Mart. TOO much noise, smells, people and lights. Momma carries my "bites" (pacifiers) in her purse so I can have them if I need them, they help me stay calm. (Some people say I am too big for them, they just don't understand why I need them.But momma and most of my care providers do.) We usually go shopping early in the morning or late at night so it isn't so bad. I have to take a lot of medicine every day. Usually I'm really good about it, but sometimes I give Momma a hard time.
I'm really excited about Christmas this year. Momma says she likes looking at things through my eyes because it is like seeing something for the first time. Everything is so real to me this year. Even though I am 5, everything seems new.
