Just before our last child left the nest, we decided to become Foster Parents. My husband likes to quip, that all we had to do was look at each other all day without kids around ha! Ha! Sean came to us at 5 weeks old right out of ICU. We were given all the information that was available at the time, so we had a pretty good idea of what to expect. He came up for adoption at around 1 yr. & we decided that we were not going to let this one go, after 47 others had taken a piece of our hearts with them! As have most of you, we have had our trials with Sean, Drs., Schools, Friends, Neighbors, & family....even strangers! We do the very best we can, day by day. Our daughters are the world's best support group!!!!!! Luckily 2 of them live within 1 mile from home so they are always there for us & they all love their brother very much.
We live in Central Florida, in a very small rural community. We have a small farm, on which we also raise horses, chickens, dogs, cats & whatever else saunters in. We are also a member of the "Golden Oldies" & find it helps in dealing with the day to day problems that come up with Sean.
I have to say at this time, THANKS FOR ALL THE LOVING SUPPORT I HAVE FOUND HERE! This is the most caring group & the lessons each & every one of you share, are invaluable!!!!!!!!!!! I don't post much, but I read & learn something everyday! I hope this is not overlong as I have a tendency to be long winded when it comes to our precious little boy!
